Raaj Brar started his career at various advertising agencies as an Account Executive in Vancouver.

Raaj later went on to a role as a consultant for corporate blue chip clients who were interested in developing their internal and external corporate culture. In 1999 Raaj felt the need to create a strong media channel that connected South Asians across Canada and the US, and SouthAsianLife.com was born.

Raaj is considered as one of the most knowledgeable individuals in Canada regarding the buying habits, media habits, product preferences and cultural idiosyncrasies of the one million South Asians that call Canada home. Mr. Brar’s profound knowledge of his community can be directly attributed to the comprehensive online surveys he frequently conducts on the website and throughout his social media network of over 1 million fans+.
