Katrina Kaif Annoyed by Media Attention

She may have been Google’s most searched-for Indian celebrity and one of Bollywood’s top actors, but Katrina Kaif said the constant media glare on her personal life still rankled her.

The 25-year-old actor said she hated constantly being written about but has given up trying to fight it.

“What bothers me the most is that the media doesn’t even bother to listen to my side of the story. I have tried to put across my point several times, but it falls on deaf years,” Kaif told Reuters.

Kaif is no stranger to link-ups with some of Bollywood’s leading men.

She has recently been linked with actor Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she starred in ‘Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani’, which released in theatres last week.

“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t bothered by all this talk, but I have realised that there isn’t much I can do about it. I wouldn’t like being written about so much,” Kaif said.

Kaif is Bollywood’s most unlikely success story.

From being an outsider who spoke with a strong British accent and an imperfect Hindi diction, Kaif has risen to being one of the most sought after actresses in the industry.

“I know what people say about me, but again, I choose to ignore. They are all entitled to their opinion,” she said.

Kaif will now be seen in Priyadarshan’s ‘De Dana Dan’, a comedy which also stars Akshay Kumar and will be her third release this year.
